Boddington Cottage, Hale Lane, Wendover
Boddington House is a large Victorian style country house (not marked on large scale 1884 Ordnance Survey maps) with a range of outbuildings. It is typical of rural developments close to rail links to London that appeared in the area about 100 years ago. The house has been subdivided and the buildings converted to housing. This building appears to be a converted stable block. Note the hoist originally installed to take sacks of grain, etc, to the first floor.

Grape Vines in the Hale Valley Vineyard, Wendover
Having taken my dog for a walk I was driving along Hale Lane planning further walks – when I saw a sign indicating a local Vineyard was having a free wine tasting. As a result I visited this small vineyard and in addition to taking a few photographs I had an enjoyable taste of a locally produced dry sparkling wine.
