Old Milepost by the A418, Aylesbury Road, Bierton
Cast iron post by the A418, in parish of Bierton with Broughton (Aylesbury Vale District), Aylesbury Road; Bierton Village, by No. 188, Yew Tree Cottage, on grass between road and tarmac path, on North side of road. Leighton iron casting, erected by the Aylesbury & Hockliffe turnpike trust in the 19th century. Broken.

Bierton: Former Wesleyan Chapel
This former Wesleyan Chapel, dating from 1877, has an interesting new use - as the Registered Office of a commercial company. The company is Serious Brands Limited http://www.sunalex.co.uk/ , formerly Sunalex Limited, who are manufacturers, amongst other things, of home and workplace reading lighting equipment, hence the face with the shades in front of the chapel which is their corporate logo. This is really a win-win situation because the chapel is in perfect condition and the graveyard at the back is immaculately maintained.
