Day Centre in Wrights Lane, Prestwood (2)
Taken in June 2001, this photo shows the day centre at the West end of Wrights Lane HP16 0LG with a post box in front of it. Since this photo was taken, the day centre has been demolished to allow for extra car parking space and the post box moved across the road.

Day Centre in Wrights Lane, Prestwood (1)
Taken in June 2001, this photo shows the entrance to the day centre at the West end of Wrights Lane where people living in the nearby flats could meet. The notice on the wall says that parking was for residents and visitors only. This day centre has since been demolished to allow for additional car parking space.

This Arriva bus 3923 (BK58 URR) a Mercedes-Benz Citaro O530 with 42 seats, is stopping outside Collings Hanger Farm in Wycombe Road on route 41 to Great Missenden. It is the last day of Arriva bus operation on this route with Carousel Buses taking over on Monday 9th January 2023.

A Carousel bus in Wycombe Road, Prestwood
This bus is photographed outside Collings Hanger Farm in Wycombe Road working on route 41 to Great Missenden. It is 940 (LX05 EZO) a Volvo B7TL with Wrightbus Eclipse 64-seater bodywork. This photo compares with the one taken in the same location of Arriva bus 3923 (BK58 URR) the previous Saturday 7th January 2023, https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7380161 refers. Carousel Buses took over from Arriva operating this route from Monday 9th January 2023.

Trees in Westrick Walk, Prestwood
This photo is taken in Westrick Walk HP16 0RZ looking east towards Wren Road. To the left of the photo is an elder tree whilst that in the distance is an oak tree. Its girth has been measured about 342cm (134.65in) which would possibly date it from about 1740.

Notice Board at Collings Hanger Farm, Prestwood
This photo shows the new notice board at Collings Hanger Farm in Wycombe Road mentioning that Wren Davis Ltd had won prizes for clean milk way back in 1930. It replaced the old noticeboard that had been there for several years. Only the telephone number on the new noticeboard has changed.

Back of Bouquet House, Prestwood
Taken in January 2000, this photo shows the back of Bouquet House from the path in Groom Road. It contained flats for elderly people to live in, but it closed shortly after this photo was taken and Bouquet Close, having twelve houses, was built on this site.

Shaggy Parasol fungus in Lodge Lane, Prestwood
This photo shows the Shaggy Parasol fungus at the west end of Lodge Lane. It is a large and conspicuous agaric with thick brown scales and protuberances on its freshy white cap. This mushroom does contain toxins which can cause gastric upsets, so it is not recommended for eating. In the background can be seen houses in Collings Walk.

Front of Bouquet House, Prestwood (2)
Taken in January 2000, this photo shoes the front entrance in the block to the right of the photo. Formerly an old people's residential home, it was closed shortly after this photo was taken and the residents transferred to Cherry Orchard Residential Home in Maybush Gardens, Prestwood. Bouquet Close is now on the site of this former block of flats.
