Stokenchurch: Former Primitive Methodist Chapel
This Primitive Methodist Chapel dates from 1896 and is on The Common. The architecture is quite ornate compared to the normal styles used in this type of building. This is a repeat view of the subject that was used for the First Geograph Image in this grid square from 2005.

Primitive Methodist chapel, Stokenchurch
Dated 1896, 'Primitive' has now been dropped from its title. It looks rather too embellished to be primitive, anyway.

Stokenchurch: War Memorial
Stokenchurch's War Memorial is on the north side of the A40 Oxford Road opposite its junction with Rose Corner. The Library is a little way beyond it.
