And the shop is ...
... Tescos of course. Even without seeing the name this style of architecture is a giveaway for Tescos, the dominant superstore of the early part of the 20th century. This one is at Loudwater, between the A40 here and the M40.

Behind us it is all busy, busy, busy, houses, a major road and a superstore. Looking north it is rural peace as the grass continues to grow.

This is a quieter road since the M40 has been built, but not usually as quiet as here. The road on the left, Knaves Hollow, is a small residential area between the A40 and the M40.
