Wooburn: Boscabel
Formerly the Royal Oak public house and opposite the Church, the supports for the inn sign can still be seen. The two slightly thicker vertical black timbers at first floor level are actually two wooden carved figures, which were reputedly originally in the church, and were given by a builder undertaking refurbishment work in the church to the pub in lieu of rent.
