St Agnes Lodge, High St Agnesgate
This building has its origins in the late medieval period, and was altered in the 17th century. Timber samples from the building were tested at Sheffield University's Dendrochronology Laboratory in January 2007, and the oldest were from trees felled between 1542 and 1573, others between 1625 and 1641.

Plaque, St Agnes Lodge, High St Agnesgate
This plaque on the gatepost reads "St Agnes Lodge. This late medieval manor house (with its raised cruck roof) was adapted to its present form in the late 17th century when the unusual round windows (possibly to reflect those of the Chapter House) were inserted and the rear wing was added. Ripon Civic Society." See Image]

St Agnes Lodge, Ripon
One of the oldest and most interesting houses in the city. The house is thought to be medieval, but was remodelled in the 17th century when the unusual circular windows were added to the front elevation.
