Holy Trinity Church, Denby Dale
This church was consecrated on 15th June 1939, and replaced a wood and corrugated iron church of 1893 on Bank Lane (there is now a house on the site). The architect was H Erskine Hill of Fox and Hill of Dewsbury, and the builders were B Beever and Sons of Ingbirchworth, not far away, using stone from Rastrick.

The chancel arch, Holy Trinity Church, Denby Dale
The church has a very pleasant interior. The chancel arch is shaped like a whalebone arch or cruck-frame, although the architect probably thought of it as the top part of a gothic window. The wall hanging behind the altar represents Christ Our Light and was created by members of the congregation. The displays give an interesting history of the Bible.

Churchfield, Denby Dale
There are conflicting views about what this field should be used for. Kirklees Council want to lease it from the parish council for allotments, but the local people want to register it as a village green, to protect its use for public recreation.
