Bolster Moor, about 2km West of Golcar near Huddersfield is about 275m (900ft) ASL. Colne Valley is filled with cloud and Crossland Moor can be seen 'floating' at the other side.

Bolster Moor Farm Shop
Situated high above the Colne Valley this appears to be a popular shop. I was meeting an old friend here for a weekend in the area as we both grew up in Huddersfield.

Bolster Moor, Golcar (2)
This photograph shows how the ridge slopes from east (left) to west. A chapel at the extreme right is on the edge of the escarpment. Most of the hamlet of Bolster Moor can be seen, the houses being mostly strung out alongside a triangle of roads, with just a few short side streets. In the foreground, a free-range hen shares the field with cows and sheep.
