Bin store and memorial seat, Oddfellows Street, Brighouse
The seat has a plaque inscribed with 'The Oddfellows / Phillip Jackson' under an emblem of three link of a chain. These houses do not have a back yard, so the bin store is an excellent idea.

Yard that was Fox Glove Farm, Brighouse
This is off Thornhill Bridge Lane. The caption 'Fox Glove Farm' appears on the 1:500 town plan of 1890. The yard now belongs to Thos. Clegg & Sons, motor body repairers. The building with the shaped gable is or was a bakery, it was built between 1890 and 1905. The stone building on the right is one of the houses along Oddfellows Street.

Demolition site, Bradford Road, Brighouse
This site has a most odd shape. It ends with a hooked part round to the left. Maps show that it was completely roofed, and there is the mark of a pitched roof on the right, much lower than the surrounding buildings.

The first house in Oddfellows Street, Brighouse
This house has a datestone inscribed 'Loyal Peace / Terrace / 1888' The terrace replaced a row of older houses that are shown on the 1850 six-inch map. They are on a rather narrow plot with no back yards, and the houses facing them are back-to-back with houses in Industrial Street.

Bakery and Newsagents, Bradford Road, Brighouse
The shop and flat have recently been sold, The building has a curious shape, having a convex curve at the back. Was this the curve of an old lane before Bradford Road was constructed? The low building to the left with the white door might lead into the bakery behind, but there are no signs to indicate whether the bakery is still operating.
