This house has a datestone inscribed 'Loyal Peace / Terrace / 1888' The terrace replaced a row of older houses that are shown on the 1850 six-inch map. They are on a rather narrow plot with no back yards, and the houses facing them are back-to-back with houses in Industrial Street.
