Doorway of the former Free Methodist Chapel, Lindley
'Free' in the name is as opposed to 'Wesleyan' chapels that were centrally controlled. This ex-chapel is now homes, and is in Thorncliffe Street. The detailed carvings over the doors are unusual for a non-conformist chapel.

Lidget Street, Lindley
The former village was along East Street and West Street, the road from Birkby to Longwood, but in the later 19C Lidget Street was developed as a shopping street.
