Wellington Mills, with 'Heritage Exchange' painted on the entrance arch, are at the end of the street. The houses were probably built by the millowner to house his workers.

Infants School, School Street, Lindley cum Quarmby (near Huddersfield)
This is part of a large group of former school buildings off Wellington Street, Oakes. The other buildings look very grand, but the infants school is in a more homely 'estate cottage' style.
