Former cinema, Lockwood Road, Lockwood
This building was originally "The Excelda" cinema, which opened in 1915 and closed in 1960. The entrance, now blocked off, ran down almost to the pavement in a passageway.

Mount Pleasant schools and sports centre, Lockwood
The schools are junior, infants and nursery, and are based on the four buildings arranged round a quadrangle that are shown on the 1905 1:2500 map. Presumably the sports centre is in the long modern building on the left. This view is from Lockwood Road.
