I spent 28 years (not all the time of course) seeing the back of this building from our old house in Finchley sitting right next to the Twin Towers. I tried a few photos with a long lens but they weren't good enough to use.

Wembley: one-way system on the B4565
Snow currently covers this junction, which is just too big to really be called simply a roundabout. Wembley Hill Road is to our left and in the background, while Empire Way is off to the right.

Triangle no more
Work on Wembley Hill Road has eliminated the long-established triangular roundabout between here and Empire Way. The junction between Wembley Hill Road, Empure Way and Stadium Way is now a simple roundabout.

Old and new buildings in Wembley Park
The only building existing in the 20th century is the block on the right, which we could see from our back bedroom in East Finchley. Of course we could also see the adjacent Twin Towers of the old stadium but they were removed in 2003, but not before I'd taken their photos.

Shops and flats on Empire Way, Wembley
Most of the development on the west side of Empire Way is inter-war, like this; to the east of the main road, however, very modern blocks of flats predominate, one of them muscling its way into the top-right of this picture.
