Edgware: Canons Drive, Canons Park Estate
Once visitors to Canons Park had passed Image they would have entered this straight road with their first view of the Canons Park mansion ahead. Today lofty coniferous trees line the route and shield the houses on the estate from the road.

Edgware: North London Collegiate School, former Canons mansion
The main old building in the School, photographed here, is the former Canons mansion, built in the late 1750s for Thomas Hallett. It was substantially remodelled in 1912 by C E Mallows for Sir Arthur Phillip du Cros, founder and president the Dunlop Rubber Company. It has been, since 1929, the principal building at the North London Collegiate School. It is Grade II Listed and there is comprehensive information about it on the Historic England website. This photograph was taken from the publicly accessible Canons Park.

Memorial Garden, Canons Park
In memory of King George 5th. Canons Park was originally part of the estates of the Augustinian Canons of St Bartholomew in Smithfield, London. The park later became the site of a short lived mansion called Cannons, built and demolished during the middle years of the 18th century. The gardens are now a public park.
