Edgware: Garden City
Garden City is an intriguingly named residential street just off Station Road in Edgware. The street name plate, with an integral No Through Road symbol, can be seen in front of the house to the right.

Edgware: Church of St Margaret of Antioch
St Margaret of Antioch was also known as Margaret the Virgin and her day is celebrated on 20 July, five days before this photograph was taken. She was reputedly put to death in AD 304. Antioch was a town in the ancient region of Pisidia, which corresponds roughly to the modern-day province of Antalya in Turkey. There are numerous churches in England dedicated to her.

Date stone, former Edgware Post Office
Date stones on public service buildings (such as post offices) were often but not universally added, and were not always prominently displayed. This example is on a side elevation. These stones are of course an invaluable guide to establishing when the building was erected, but not necessarily to when it was first operational.
