Edgware: The Basin, Canons Park Estate
When the Duke of Chandos developed the estate in the early part of the 18th century, this ornamental pond was constructed along the approach drive from the south-east so that visitors caught their first sight of the Canons Park mansion once they had negotiated it.

Canons Park on a crisp October morning
Canons Park is a residential area next to Edgware, however, there really is a Park there as well. This was a particularly nice shot taken in October, 2006.

Characterful House in Canons Drive, Edgware
Canons Drive is perhaps the most exclusive road in Edgware, Middlesex and there are some gorgeous houses to be found as you stroll up and down. At the lower end of the Drive you will find 'The Basin' with its weeping willow and occasional ducks and swans; at the upper end, the entrance to North London Collegiate School and Canons Park.
