Edgware: North London Collegiate School, former Canons mansion
The main old building in the School, photographed here, is the former Canons mansion, built in the late 1750s for Thomas Hallett. It was substantially remodelled in 1912 by C E Mallows for Sir Arthur Phillip du Cros, founder and president the Dunlop Rubber Company. It has been, since 1929, the principal building at the North London Collegiate School. It is Grade II Listed and there is comprehensive information about it on the Historic England website. This photograph was taken from the publicly accessible Canons Park.
