Modernist house, Kerry Avenue - No. 1
The south side of Kerry Avenue features, on both sides of the road, a series of Modernist houses. This is No. 1 ("Safa Lodge"), built in 1937 to the designs of architect Gerald Lacoste (1908-1983). The street is within a conservation area - https://www.harrow.gov.uk/www2/documents/s104758/Appendix%204%20-%20Kerry%20Avenue%20CAAMS%20Final.pdf - so it is somewhat surprising to see a rather inappropriately designed replacement front door,

Stanmore: red man and green light
This pedestrian crossing, outside Stanmore station, has one of the newer design of panels with red and green man on the unit on which the button is situated, rather than the traditional displays facing pedestrians from the opposite side of the road. Here, we take a close look at the red figure as he waits for the green traffic light to change - it is seen reflected alongside him.
