Stanmore: Church of St William of York
This Roman Catholic Church in the Diocese of Westminster http://www.rcdow.org.uk/stanmore/ is on the north side of Du Cros Drive, and became Grade II listed in 2006. The designer was the French architect Hector Corfiato, and the structure was completed in 1960. William of York was Archbishop of York twice. He died in 1154 and was canonized in 1227.
