Eastcote tube station - entrance buildings
The station opened in 1906 on the (then) Metropolitan Railway from Harrow-on-the-Hill to Uxbridge. In 1910 the District Line was extended from South Harrow to connect with the Metropolitan railway at Rayners Lane. In 1933, the District Line services were transferred to the Piccadilly Line https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastcote_tube_station . The original station was rebuilt in the late 1930s to a design by Charles Holden https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Holden . The station, including the platforms, and the adjoining shops are Grade II listed https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1357435 . A wider view of the buildings in 1991, taken by Ben Brooksbank, is shown in Image
