Bus at Ruislip station
BTS L148, a Leyland Olympian/Northern Counties, lays over at Ruislip station between journeys on the 114 to Mill Hill Broadway. These buses were fitted with Cummins L10 engines and ZF transmissions, which sounded superb and gave them an almost sporty performance.

Ruislip station
This station was opened in July 1904 by the Metropolitan Railway on its branch line from Harrow to Uxbridge. In March 1910 it began to be served by District (later Piccadilly) Line trains also when the District was extended from South Harrow to Rayners Lane. Today both Metropolitan and Piccadilly Line trains continue to serve the station.
