Home Cottages, Sharps Lane, Ruislip
Built 1885, according to the inscription. The terrace is flanked by two semi-detached pairs in similar style, but these differ from each other in layout. An 1896 map suggests the near pair was not yet built then.

Ruislip: Home Cottages, Sharps Lane
Ruislip is generally 'cosy' and suburban in character, but there is something stern and barrack-like about these buildings. Could they once have been police accommodation?

Street in Ruislip
Quite an oriental touch to the area. It is usually a busy street with a supermarket at the other end.

The Orchard, Ruislip
A large pub restaurant in the Beefeater chain.
The paved foreground area is the old drive, now closed off, leading from the former entrance unsuitably sited on a busy roundabout.

Ruislip Telephone Exchange, Middx
Situated off High Street, this redbrick TE dates from the GPO era, but appears to have been modernised in the meantime. Besides Ruislip, this TE also serves Ickenham nearby. A BT Openreach van is seen parked in front of the TE. Its numbering range is (01895) 6xxxxx, the (01895) referring to the Uxbridge group of TEs, and its postcode is HA4 7BJ.

Ruislip: Manor Farm: The Horse Pond
The pond was once much larger than it is today and was where horses were brought to drink and be washed after a day's work on the manor farm.
