Special bus low bridge warning, Station Approach
Put up by Transport for London, it advises bus drivers that the bridge ahead is not suitable for double deck vehicles. The bridge is plated at 3.6 m 11'-9", which makes it extremely unsuitable.

Corner of Great Central Avenue
Over the road from South Ruislip Station, Great Central Avenue is a modest street of suburban housing. The name is from the Great Central Railway which at one time ran trains to London Marylebone Station on the nearby line.
