Kenton Road Telephone Exchange (1)
Located at 9 - 15 Kenton Park Parade, this TE has the code LWKROA and provides telephone and broadband services to 9,220 residential and 287 non-residential premises in the Kenton area East of Harrow. This redbrick building is typical of such TEs built by the GPO during the 1930s, but nowadays has mobile phone aerials on its roof. A sign of progress no doubt!

Kenton: Wordsworth telephone exchange
On Kenton Road, looking west. This building probably dates from the 1930s. Modern telephone switchgear is much more compact and does not require such grandiose buildings.
