This area was developed with medium density semi-detached houses between the wars. Those houses had a fairly short life, being replaced after about fifty years with this higher density housing.

Metropolitan Line railway at Harrow-on-the-Hill
Viewed looking westwards from the footbridge alongside the A404 road bridge, this is the junction of the Uxbridge branch with the Amersham line. A southbound train from Uxbridge heading towards Baker Street and Aldgate can be seen approaching the footbridge up the incline from West Harrow station.
