Awaiting redevelopment
The former Harrow post office currently contributing little to the townscape. As can be gleaned from this newspaper article http://www.harrowtimes.co.uk/news/9027307.Dandara_was__messed_around__over_skyscraper__councillor_says/ progress on the development of site has not been smooth!

I didn't know the train was a fast one and had to change here for Northwick Park, but meant I got some extra photos.

Harrow-on-the-Hill Station
An Uxbridge service arrives from Aldgate. This photo illustrates the standard concrete awnings provided at many London Underground stations. The train is made up of A60 stock, soon to be replaced along with the Circle and District line trains by the new S stock - giving a standard fleet across Transport for London's surface lines. Built by Cravens, the A60 stock entered service in 1961 and is currently the oldest type in service on the London Underground. These units are also the fastest being capable of 70mph - though they are currently limited to 50mph.

Harrow on the Hill station in 1962
A train of Metropolitan A60 stock (then almost brand new) has arrived from the north and behind this is a train of older Metropolitan stock having travelled from Uxbridge. The background has changed over the years, with a number of large buildings now fronting College Road.
