Merrow House
Merrow's "Big House" is a very plain and "boxy" three storey brick building. It dates from 1802, was a home to the Thrupp family for many years, became an old folks home 1949-78 before being converted into old people's flats in 1984.

Merrow Allotments
A welcome green space opposite the St John's Church. It is intensively cultivated for flowers, fruit and vegetables and has so far escaped being developed for housing. In the background is Goldfinch Gardens, the edge of Merrow Park housing estate.
