Merrow House
Merrow's "Big House" is a very plain and "boxy" three storey brick building. It dates from 1802, was a home to the Thrupp family for many years, became an old folks home 1949-78 before being converted into old people's flats in 1984.

School's Out
Bushy Hill School on a day when all schools in Surrey were closed because of the snowfall. This middle school is very new - rebuilt by funds raised from selling part of the playing fields to a housing developer. It gets its intake from neighbouring infant schools in Merrow and it feeds George Abbot Secondary School in Burpham.
