Bordon Station, approach
View northward to station entrance. This was the terminus of the ex-LSW branch from Bordon, also the northern end of the Longmoor Military Railway complex. It closed to passengers on 16/9/57, to goods on 4/4/66.

Woodland, Gibb's Lane, Bordon
The woodland is used by soldiers from Bordon Camp for training purposes. Note the signs warning the public not to pick up any suspicious objects!

Dismantled Railway Line, Bordon
Taken from Gibb's Lane, this old trackway from Farnham to the north is off limits to walkers. The sign states that there has been replanting here of English tree species.

Course of old railway, Bordon
This was the route of the Bentley and Bordon Light Railway, opened in 1905 and operated by the LSWR. Bordon terminal station and a connection to the military railways here were behind the camera. The station area is now an industrial estate. The line closed in 1966. The route here, at Gibbs Lane, is fenced off with a locked gate and a sign saying it is private.
