10th March - the body of Sarah Everard found in woodland near Ashford, Kent; 13th March -arrests at vigil on Clapham Common for Sarah Everard spark calls for the resignation of Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick; March 23rd - one of the largest container ships in the world, the Ever Given, runs aground and causes a major blockage in the Suez Canal. The resulting bottleneck of ships leads to significant disruption of global trade; March 27th - The number of COVID-19 vaccinations administered worldwide exceeds 500 million.
