The Saddlers Arms (2) - sign, Send Marsh Road, Send Marsh
This public house and restaurant derives its name from the fact that the building long ago used to be a saddler's workshop.
The sign is badly faded, but looking at the photograph in close-up shows four people working away in a saddler's workshop. In the foreground one is attaching a leather piece to the side of a sofa. Another appears to be repairing the leather on the top of a desk. The other two people are busy in the background doing other things. As this interpretation differs from another on this website, it may be that the other side of the sign has a different scene. That is rare but sometimes happens. I didn't check at the time, as the light was beginning to go and I was in a hurry.

A popular pub which has a restaurant as well as a bar. At the front is a beer garden. The building is over 400 years old and was once a saddler's workshop.

Send Marsh: The Saddlers Arms public house
Unsurprisingly this was formerly a saddler's workshop and parts of the building are over 400 years old. It is located on the B368 Send Marsh Road. (I have to say that zooming into the image to see the pub sign and reviewing it sideways had me confused for a moment - it is needless to say a saddle on a fence with a man with his back to the fence with his elbows over it!)
