The cottages are named New Cottages or Manor Cottages on the online OS map, depending on the magnification. British History online, presumably referring to these, says "a pair of cottages by the Cirencester road was described as new in 1919". https://www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/glos/vol7/pp5-13

St Bartholomew's church, Aldsworth
Originally C12. C14 tower and C15 spire. Restored in C19. It is very unusual to find a church with a spire in this area.
