From one roundabout to another, Cheltenham
From the edge of Pittville Circus, shown in Image, looking towards the much smaller roundabout where Wellington Road meets the B4632 Prestbury Road. Most of the visible buildings are listed, such as Sligo House, the villa left of centre http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1387603&searchtype=mapsearch . "Built by Edward Cope, a leading local builder and speculator who was responsible for laying out the area around Pittville Circus, it was sold in March 1847 to John Bird of the East India Company".

Cheltenham houses [142]
This terrace of five houses, odd numbers 29 to 37 Pittville Lawn, are now mostly flats. Built in 1831 of stuccoed brick with fine detailing, under a concealed roof with iron balconies and railings. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1387468 Cheltenham is located at the foot of the Cotswold scarp with the small River Chelt flowing through the town. After the discovery of mineral springs in 1716 Cheltenham became a spa town and many Regency houses and other buildings were erected. The town is home to the renowned Cheltenham Festival, four days of horse jump racing culminating in the Gold Cup, held annually in March at the nearby racecourse.

A fine terrace by John Forbes, 1826-27, consisting of five three-bay houses. The centre has Ionic columns, and there is a good wrought-iron balcony. Grade II listed.
