The White Bear (1), Bredon Road, Tewkesbury, Glos
A popular pub on the Bredon Road (B4080) and near to the marina. It was Tewkesbury CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year in 2017 for the third year running. It has a beer garden, skittles alley, pub games and provides refreshments. It also has live music sessions and is one of the few free houses in the town.

The White Bear (2) - sign, Bredon Road, Tewkesbury, Glos
This sign shows what is known as a dancing bear, which used to be common in England and elsewhere, particularly in medieval times. They were taken from place to place and exhibited and forced to "dance" with the aim of collecting money for the owner. Unfortunately they are still to be seen in some parts of the world. Since this photograph was taken a few years back the sign has been replaced by a more conventional sign showing a white polar bear.
