Beales Department Store, Cinderford
Located in Town Hall Buildings, High Street, Beales Cinderford is one of about 30 Beales stores in the UK. Beales traces its origins to 1881, but appears to be a relative newcomer to Cinderford, where its current premises were formerly the Co-op Westgate Department Store.

Colourful cycle racks in High Street Cinderford
The cycle racks in Cinderford Rugby Club colours feature a collier’s wheel, Forest of Dean oak leaf and acorn motifs. They were created by artist, designer and blacksmith Clare Robertson of MissFire, based at Clearwell Caves. Clare said that the collier's wheel pays respect to the traditions and history of the Forest of Dean, the oak is a symbol of strength, and the acorn signifies growth, potential, youth and regeneration. This is part of town centre improvement works funded by Forest of Dean District Council.
