Church Lane former level crossing
This is a shot along the route of the old railway line from Hereford to Grange Court Junction on the main Gloucester - Cardiff route. I'm standing (well, sitting ... I took this from my car) on the site of the old level crossing, looking towards Gloucester. There's not much left to show that this was once a railway line, although the eagle eyed among you will spot the remains of the railway fencing to the left of the shot.

Westbury level crossing
Typically, the lights began to flash as I approached the crossing. However, I couldn't quite get the camera out quickly enough to actually photograph the train, so here's a picture of the empty crossing. There were once two level crossings on Church Lane, but only this one remains functional.

The line to Chepstow
While Bob's picture Image could have been so much more exciting with a train racing past on either side of him I decided to play safe and take the picture off the track.
