The cloisters, Gloucester Cathedral
The ornate fan vaulting in the cloisters of Gloucester Cathedral. Fan vaulting was first developed in Gloucester in the late 14th century. The cloisters were used as a filming location for some scenes in the Harry Potter films.

The Henry Room - Parliament Rooms
The Henry Room is one of the rooms in the Parliament suite in Church House, the former Abbots’ lodgings which was the site of Richard II’s parliament in 1378. Though this timber-framed room is likely to be from the following century. The room is so named because it is believed Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn stayed here during a week's visit in August 1535. Five years before the abbey was dissolved and then in 1541 the abbey became a Cathedral. The room was open as part of the Heritage Open Days.

The Laud Room - Parliament Suite
The Laud Room one of the rooms in the Parliament suite in Church House, the former Abbots’ lodgings which was the site of Richard II’s parliament in 1378. William Laud was Dean of Gloucester Cathedral in 1616-21, he later became Archbishop of Canterbury in the reign of Charles I. The picture on the wall is of Dean William Laud. The room was open as part of the Heritage Open Days.
