The Henry Room is one of the rooms in the Parliament suite in Church House, the former Abbots’ lodgings which was the site of Richard II’s parliament in 1378. Though this timber-framed room is likely to be from the following century. The room is so named because it is believed Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn stayed here during a week's visit in August 1535. Five years before the abbey was dissolved and then in 1541 the abbey became a Cathedral. The room was open as part of the Heritage Open Days.
