Gloucester railway station : train for Cardiff awaits departure
The Crosscountry train which departed from Nottingham at 2.11 pm waits at platform 2 for the 4.22 pm departure for Cardiff Central - scheduled arrival is 5.28 pm. Viewed from platform 4. Somewhat confusingly for this first-time visitor to Gloucester station, platforms 1 and 2 share the same physical platform, which extends for almost 603 metres (1,977 ft).

Twyver House, Bruton Way, Gloucester
By Richard Seifert & Partners, 1968. Cruciform-shaped and very distinctive in its colouring and banding. The pilotis are pure Seifert (Image]). Formerly occupied by the Land Registry, in 2018, bizarrely, it was sold to Torbay Council for £11.5m.
