Garden wall at House For an Art Lover
The house currently protected by its special 'cage'. This is to assist the drying out of this important building. Charles Rennie Mackintosh may have been a great architect but his pioneering use of new materials (in this case, cement render) has failed to preserve the fabric of the building in the Scottish climate. The lawn here has been recently re-seeded after the construction work on the 'cage'.
