A west view down platform 2 of Gartcosh railway station. Trains passing through the station westwards will terminate in Glasgow queen Street high level. Eastward bound trains head towards Edinburgh. The long straight track at the approaches to this station make it popular with train enthusiasts who want to film fast moving trains. The line through this station has been recently electrified with the work being completed in 2014.
