Queueing to get in
Shoppers at Waitrose in Milngavie queueing up outside the supermarket during the Coronavirus pandemic. Shop staff are regulating the number of people inside at any one time, with a 'one out, one in' policy. Those waiting are observing social distancing and staying 2 metres apart.

Notices outside Waitrose
Triangular information boards around bollards outside Waitrose in Milngavie explain that there is now a higher limit of £45 (instead of £30) using contactless payment at the checkouts. This is a measure introduced during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in order to make it easier to pay for goods without using cash or having to touch key pads, and so reducing the risk of coming in contact with surfaces which might hold the virus. The other notices remind customers to keep 2 metres apart within the store.

Notices outside Waitrose
The taped on notice tells customers that they should use sanitised trolleys only, and to leave used trolleys in the trolley bays. During the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic supermarkets generally either had staff to clean the handles of trolleys between uses (as here) or provided hand sanitiser and/or wipes for customers to 'do it themselves'. This was to reduce the risk of coming in contact with surfaces which might hold the virus.

Upgrading the car park
Work is under way in the car park at Waitrose. It appears that some of the setts are being lifted to enable the laying of new concrete edges to the parking bays. It is not at all obvious why this is being done.
