New sculpture at Oatlands
Near the junction of Rutherglen Road and New Rutherglen Road at Shawfield Stadium. The Glasgow Live web site https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/news/glasgow-news/major-new-artwork-celebrating-old-13294058 describes it as follows "The artists have been inspired by a range of local landmarks including the Doulton Fountain, the McLennan Arch, the Templeton Carpet Factory and the Richmond Park model boats. Abstract hull and sail forms, scattered and fixed to a tall vertical pole, will reference the model boat club while a ground surface will reference the historic local industry (Patterson's Brick-makers) and the decorative brick facades of the surrounding area including Templeton's and the old Art Deco entrance to Shawfield Stadium".
