Site of the former Elgin Place Congregational Church
The church was converted to "Cardinal Follies" nightclub in 1982. The building was destroyed by fire in November 2004. Here is a http://www.theglasgowstory.com/image.php?inum=TGSA05309 to the Glasgow Story web site article about the building. The church was one of a few in the area which provided inspiration to the late Iain Banks for the church (St Jute's Folly) in his novel "Espedair Street".
