Freight from the shipyards via Maryhill approaching Balornock Junction
View NW, towards Maryhill: probably on the Caledonian line from Clydebank etc. via Maryhill, to Dalmarnock and Robroyston (closed from Partick West 22/2/66), or possibly on another Goods branch. The train is headed by LMS Fowler 4F 0-6-0 No. 44194 (built 1925, withdrawn 12/62).

One of the few 'Black 5s' given names, seen at St Rollox (Balornock) Locomotive Depot
Out in the yard beside another 'Black 5' is No. 5154 'Lanarkshire Yeomanry' still in LMS livery (built 1935, named 1937, withdrawn 11/66). It was one of only five of the Class of 842 locomotive given a name by the LMS or BR: six others have been named in preservation, however.

The CR McIntosh '782' class 0-6-0T were introduced in 1896; No. 16289 (later BR No. 56289) lasted until 10/60.
