Mosses and lichens
On one of the fence pillars outside flats on Firhill Road. The mosses have grown all over the concrete ball on top, whilst the lichens are colonising the flatter surface below. Images on Streetview show that there was no evidence of mosses on the ball in 2014, so this must represent about ten years of growth.

Entry to the ground is through entrances further along the road. The days of paying cash at the turnstiles are past, tickets are purchased in advance online or at a booth on match day. The prices above the these old entrances are long out of date (£3.00 for an adult, £5.00 for parent and child, £2.00 for O.A.Ps/Boys). An adult ticket costs £22.00 in 2024.
