Spectators at Montrose Street wait to see last Lap of Elite Women in UCI World Cycling Championships Glasgow
Spectators had selected the best highest vantage points to watch the Elite Women race 6 times up this exceptionally steep street in Glasgow. There was a pleasant friendly atmosphere among the huge crowds watching, flying flags, clapping and cheering.
The race was won by
1/ Lotte Kopecky of Belgium winning GOLD
2/ Demi Vollering of NL receiving SILVER
3/ Cecilie Ludwig DK achieving BRONZE
Lizzie Deignan GB was happy to achieve 6th place.

Glasgow: postbox № G4 177, Cathedral Street
A bus passes along Cathedral Street across the junction with Montrose Street. The postbox is an Elizabeth II-reign one and is emptied finally at 6:30pm on weekdays and at 12:45pm on Saturdays.
