Demolition in progress
The extension at the back of the Dolphin Bar is being demolished.
The road to the left (Benalder Street) and the right (Cooperswell Street) have been closed since August 2016 following the collapse of a wall at the rear of the block in the centre. The entire block (The Dolphin bar, an Italian restaurant, hair and beauty salon and shops, together with the flats above) have lain empty, while a dispute over whether to repair or demolish the extension at the back has carried on.

The road beside The Dolphin (Benalder Street) has been closed since 6 August 2016 following the collapse of a wall immediately to the south of the bar. The entire block (The Dolphin, an Italian restaurant, hair and beauty salon and shops, together with the flats above) is currently empty, until a dispute is settled over whether to repair or demolish the extension at the back.
